Presentation: "Economic Trends in Pennsylvania"
Tom Jackson is Principal Economist with IHS Economic, in the US Regional Services group. Tom is responsible for the IHS forecast of several states and metro areas, including the state of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia metro area. He also plays a major role in special research projects and in presenting the IHS economic outlook to clients and to the public. Tom also has an extensive background in analyzing commodity markets, primarily agricultural markets.
In addition to his work with IHS clients, Tom has provided economic analysis and industry commentary to the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Bloomberg, USA Today, the Philadelphia Inquirer and PBS Online, among others. He has also provided on-air commentary on economic issues for CNN, MSNBC, and al-Jazeera.
Tom is based in Philadelphia, and has been in the economic consulting and forecasting field for 20 years. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics from The Ohio State University.
