William Dunkelberg

William C. Dunkelberg has been Chief Economist for the National Federation of Independent Business since 1971, Dunkelberg is a nationally known authority on small business, entrepreneurship, consumer behavior and consumer credit and government policy. He is also a Professor Emeritus of Economics at the School of Business and Management, Temple University, where he served as Dean from 1987 through 1994 and as Director of the Center for the Advancement and Study of Entrepreneurship. His prior appointments were at the Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University, the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University and the Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan. He served as an adviser to the secretary of Commerce, and was appointed to the Consumer Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve System in 1989 for a two-year term. He has a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Michigan.
